琵琶樂人倶楽部とは毎回テーマを決めて、さまざまな琵琶楽に関するレクチャーと演奏を聴いていただく会です。2007年11月に立ち上げ、2025年8月で開催210回を迎え、18間琵琶樂人倶楽部とは毎回テーマを決めて、さまざまな琵琶楽に関するレクチャーと演奏を聴いていただく会です。2007年11月に立ち上げ、2025年8月で開催210回を迎え、18間、毎月開催しています。
薩摩琵琶 四弦・薩摩琵琶 五弦・筑前琵琶・平家琵琶・楽琵琶（雅楽）の古典から現代に至るまで、毎月多彩なゲストをお呼びして、琵琶楽を「音楽」としてだけでなく、周辺の歴史・社会・芸能・宗教をも含めた「文化」として、発信しています。

時間は毎回1時間半程度の一部形式、毎回テーマを決めて演奏だけでなくレクチャーやトークなど、ゲスト共に聴いて頂いております。どうぞお気軽に、素晴らしい琵琶楽の世界をご体験ください。

About The Biwa Gakujin Club — Tokyo’s Monthly Biwa Music Event

The Biwa Gakujin Club, led by master SHIOTAKA Kazuyuki (SatsumaBiwa, Gaku Biwa player, composer, and lecturer), has been active since its founding in 2007 in Tokyo.Over ,200 events have been held
This unique biwa concert series is held monthly and features performances on Satsuma Biwa (shigen and gogen), Chikuzen Biwa, Heike Biwa, and Gaku Biwa(Gagaku-style). Each performance explores not only biwa music but also the cultural context of biwa in Japanese history, society, performing arts, and religion.
The concerts last approximately 90 minutes and include live performances and informative talks on special themes, providing a deep cultural experience of traditional Japanese music.

Venue: Music Café Violon (2-9-5 Asagaya-Kita, Suginami-ku, Tokyo),5-minute walk from JR Asagaya Station North Exit (Star Road Shopping Street, toward Ogikubo).

Schedule: 19:00 start on the second Wednesday of every month.
Charge: 1,000 yen (including coffee).
